Did you notice the small Christmas trees at their feet? We plant them 7 feet apart so they will be able to get sun on all sides as they grow. It takes 10 years for them to become so fat they touch each other.  We'll have a whole herd of deer by the time these trees are ready for families to take home for Christmas.
